The mission of Take Wing Tutoring is to support students in grades K - 12 to achieve their individual academic goals by honoring and fostering an awareness of the strengths of each student. I can assure each student that they will, in time, learn how to read or divide fractions or solve for x or write a coherent paragraph! These, admittedly, important skills are vehicles for the more important goal of empowering each student to believe in their own abilities and capacity to overcome perceived obstacles. I provide a safe and encouraging atmosphere in which to make mistakes and try again until the student gains enough academic confidence to, on their own, take wing and fly!
